Dr Nicole LePera started her career as a healer at the Bowery Residents’ Committee as a Group Leader while still pursuing her PhD. She worked there for 3 years and provided group therapy to her clients using cognitive-behavioural, relational, and psychodynamic approaches. After that, she worked as a psychologist at the Inpatient Dual-Diagnosis Unit of Beth Israel Medical Center and Fort Hamilton Outpatient Service at South Beach Psychiatric Center for one year each respectively. She worked as a research coordinator at YAI Network from December 2005 to January 2012, and from September 2010 to June 2012, she served as a peer reviewer on the Editorial Board of the New School Psychological Bulletin Editorial Review Board. In March 2010, she started handling psychological assessments at the New School for Social Research Counseling Center. After around a year, she started working as a psychotherapist at the New School for Social Research Counseling Center. Thereafter, she worked as a psychology consultant at New York Psychoanlaytic Society & Institute/NYC schools (PS 111). She also completed a brief psychotherapy research project at Beth Israel Medical Center. LePera has experience as a psychotherapist with various organizations, including the Philadelphia Consultation Center, Re-Enter, Council for Relationships, A Better Life Therapy, and Mindful Healing Center. Since 2018, she has been self-employed under The Holistic Psychologist as The Holistic Psychologist.
